Kyâne Pichou

Senior Devops Engineer

DevOps, cloud architect, SRE (choose the term you prefer) with over 6 years of experience, since 2017.
My professional journey has allowed me to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, ranging from the cloud to bare-metal, within organizations and teams of different sizes. I've implemented numerous containerized environments using Docker or Kubernetes, and deployed several scalable platforms on these environments (web, Kafka, Elasticsearch). I place a strong emphasis on automation and reliability, making tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Packer fundamental components of my toolkit.
Additionally, for a few months, I undertook various pedagogical missions (as an independent contractor): quality control for a developer training program, student support, and the creation of training materials.

Senior Devops

As the first and only DevOps at Phenix, I am the versatile Swiss Army knife across development teams. I've established a shared infrastructure based on AWS with a primary focus on Kubernetes. My role is to continuously improve this infrastructure, assist in the implementation of tools (CI/CD with Github Actions, migration to Docker), and ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our platforms. Additionally, I contribute to cross-team initiatives such as creating a business continuity plan, a robust security policy, and developing the roadmap.

March 2021 - Today

Educational consultant

As a freelancer, I contributed to pedagogical missions for training platforms Studi, Openclassrooms, and Librecours. My role involved overseeing the quality of a complete developer training program, monitoring and supporting students' progress, and creating course materials (written and video) for introductory courses in computer science and Linux.

July 2020 - January 2021

Ops Engineer

Within the infrastructure team, I participated in the maintenance and evolution of the cloud infrastructure (AWS), platform monitoring, and security. Notably, I implemented a complete stack for centralizing and managing logs from our various Kubernetes clusters, using Elasticsearch and Kibana.

January 2019 - May 2020

Within the systems team, I introduced Ansible for automating the configuration of client's servers and managing the internal machine park.

November 2018 - January 2019

Site Reliability Engineer - Apache Kafka

Setup and administration of internal Kafka clusters at OVH. I ensured service continuity, monitoring, metric reporting, and ongoing product improvement.

October 2017 - October 2018

Technical volunteer

Co-founder of this associative hosting provider, I participated in setting up an infrastructure (based on Docker) aimed at offering various online services, awareness events, and the creation of training weeks for other students.

Computer science and system administration enthusiast, I enjoy exploring new tools and sharing my knowledge. I dedicate myself to administering my own online services for personal use, I have a particular affinity for free software and privacy protection.

Rather curious, I spend a lot of time reading popular science, economics, or political materials. And when I'm not in front of my screen or playing a game, I'm probably on my bike.
